It is with a heavy heart that the Paragon family says goodbye to our beloved company mascot, bullmastiff Archie, affectionately known as Incredible Archie. Earlier in the month Archie was prescribed a painkiller for a sprained knee and within five days succumbed to its side effects, not even three years of age. Archie's presence in our lives went beyond a pet or mascot; he was a true member of the Mintz and Paragon families.
Archie was a champion show dog; a therapy dog assisting homeless veterans; he comforted residents of rehabilitation and nursing homes with his calm and gentle presence, he was welcome wherever he went, including the cockpits of airliners! We will miss our awe-inspiring gentle giant who created smiles everywhere.
We certainly did not expect to kick off 2016 with such a loss, but we take solace in the fact that Archie fulfilled his mission - to be kind, loving, patient, accepting of people's differences and help those needing a comforting presence.
