New Year, New Beginnings

Happy New Year! 2016 may have turned out differently than some expected, but with an open mind, we graciously welcome in 2017. A new year can be more than just a new calendar year. It can be viewed as a symbol of renewal. It is an opportunity to reflect on the last 12 months and seek out new ways grow personally and professionally. Whether or not you need a fresh start, here are some notable facts to reflect on in 2017:

-       According to the Chinese zodiac calendar, it is the year of the rooster. It begins on January 28th 2017 and ends February 15th 2018. The rooster brings passion and ambition according to Chinese zodiac tradition.

-       According to the UN Observances, 2017 is the international year of Sustainable Tourism for Development.

-       We can expect to see the greatest total solar eclipse of the 21st century, which is expected on August 21st.
